Eric Kent 1 KM West Chardonnay 2015
|Region||California, South Coast|
s usual with this Sonoma Coast wine, our approach uses very little new oak - just enough to support all the naturally occurring goodness. From the get-go, the serious deep green/gold color in the glass indicates that it's not messing around. Loads of citrus oil, citrus peel and baked quince on the nose fold directly into the same impressions on the lemon curd-saturated palate. Just on the fuller side of medium bodied, mouthwatering acidity leaves the wine to finish with a satisfying tensile snap.
Taut and complex, featuring a trim, focused core of apple, pear and citrus flavors, ending clean and snappy, with a dash of honeydew melon. Drink now. 264 cases made.
