Killka Red Blend 2013
|Region||Argentina, Mendoza, Alto Vale de Uco|
Deep ruby in appearance. Seductive aromas of ripe plum, blackberry, vanilla and dry fruits. Full-bodied, lush and velvety on the palate with notes of black fruits, exotic spices and a long, lingering finish. Excellent with hard cheeses, hearty pasta dishes, steak and other grilled red meats.
A sanguine red, with a taut core of currant and spiced cherry flavors, filled with notes of thyme and hoisin sauce. Juniper berry accents appear on the fresh finish. Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah and Petit Verdot. Drink now through 2017. 5,000 cases made.
(50% Malbec, 35% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Syrah and 5% Petit Verdot): Dark red. High-toned aromas of plum, blackberry, licorice, spices and peppery herbs. Juicy, spicy and youthfully brooding, but still with a pliant texture to the flavors of black fruits, licorice and spices. Finishes with slightly clenched tannins.
