Robert Biale Zappa 2005
|Region||California, Napa Valley|
The 2005 Zappa is 76% Zinfandel and qualifies as a varietal Zinfandel on the label, but we opted for keeping the Proprietary Red Wine designation. The remainder of the blend is 12% Syrah and 12% Petite Sirah: Zin for forward fruit and brightness, Syrah for mid-palate and depth, and Petite Sirah for structure, color and black fruit character. This is a substantial wine that is built for the long haul, so don't be in a rush to drink it.
