From a sample pulled just prior to bottling, the 2018 Chardonnay comes all from the Sierra Madre Vineyard in Santa Maria and spent 9 months in 25% new French oak. Its light gold color is followed by a tropical Chardonnay that has plenty of pineapple and melon fruit as well as notes of brioche, honeysuckle, and spice. It's a rounded, well-made, textured, balanced effort that has loads to love.
