Bright, dark red with ruby highlights. Aromas of currant, raspberry, tobacco and fresh herbs; more red than black. Juicy and intense, with sound acidity framing the flavors of raspberry and smoked meat. Not especially complex but better-balanced in the early going than the Tomero malbec, as the wine's acidity is in harmony with its fruit. Finishes with easygoing tannins and good lift.

Roasted berry aromas are stalky at first but come around. This feels round but only marginally structured. Creamy ripe generic flavors of berry and cherry finish solid with some heat.

A sinewy red, with flavors of raspberry, dried mint and beef jerky, featuring plenty of pepper notes. Drying tannins show on the finish. Drink now. 10,000 cases made.
