Proemio Malbec Reserve 2018
Intense violet-red color with aromas of ripe redand blackberries. In the palate the wine is silky with soft and velvety tannins. Its lasting notes of cherries and blackberries, vanilla and chocolate give this wine a long finish.
Spicy berry aromas come with a hint of Graham cracker and a wild note of a hot summer field. A firm palate is tightened by inward-pulling tannins, while this tastes of roasted berry fruits, plums and herbs. Dry tannins and lifted acidity make for an active finish.
Made with grapes from the venerable Russell terroir in Maipú, this unfinished Malbec was fermented with native yeasts, followed by a brief maceration period. A deep violet in color, it has a jammy, raisin-like profile, a generous palate and fleshy, muscular tannins that make for an upliftingly bold and long-lasting finish. Exactly the kind of Malbec you'd expect from a classic Argentine terroir.
