Concentrated small berries, gooseberries, redcurrants, Mirabelle plum jam, cedar, violet candies, underbrush, cassis, coffee grinds, red velvet cakes, sea salt caramels, licorice powder. Silky, soft, round entrance, evolving on elegant tannins, notes of fresh cantaloupe, juicy pear, wild strawberry, watermelon, hint of Espelette pepper, blackberry, cherry, hint of fennel, bitter orange zest, tomato stem, ripe nectarine, grenadine, lavender, pork roast.
The 2018 Proprietary Red Wine is a Cabernet Sauvignon-dominated blend that includes 10% Merlot, 7% Cabernet Franc, and 4% Petit Verdot. It has a solid nose of black and blue fruits as well as plenty of spice, bouquet garni, and graphite, with a kiss of minerality. Medium to full-bodied, nicely concentrated, and elegant, it's a lively, balanced red blend to enjoy any time over the coming 10-12 years or so.
The 2018 Proprietary Red Wine is a gorgeous wine that will drink well right out of the gate. Inky dark red/purplish fruit, blood orange, mint, spice and sweet pipe tobacco all grace this silky, mid-weight Cabernet Sauvignon-based blend. The 2018 is 79% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Merlot, 7% Cabernet Franc and 4% Petit Verdot.
